Fenoxo here! It’s been a busy week with real life shenanigans like having a plumber cut into my wall… and worse! But let’s not dwell on that.
As mentioned previously in a previous week’s post, I hopped out of flash development to start beating on the javascript version, and those efforts are bearing fruit. I’m finding all sorts of little stuff to apply some elbow grease to and some bigger stuff that needs Gedan and Leek’s more capable code-wrenches to handle. Under the hood changes were made to tail genitals, genital slits, and the like to better handle how they are addressed in code. One big upside of this change is that Zaika-like tail genitals will be possible, and tail genitals will have more modifiable attributes in general – like proper size data for tailcocks or variable wetness for tailginas.
I’m pretty hyped. There’s a lot of awesome stuff going on with the javascript version that promises to only improve as we continue to file down the roughest burrs and polish it to a lubed-up, mirror finish. The level-up screen alone is a joygasm for me, personally, and I hope to have backers playtesting to help us polish it up this weekend. Be aware that the realities of software dev could impact this timeline.
A Few Notes on the Javascript Version of TiTS:
- The first javascript version of TiTS will only come with FIRST-14, Tavros, and Mhenga active.
- Bug fixes and new content that were added to Flash-TiTS in the last few months will not be reflected in the Javascript build at first. We have to re-port over those changes still.
- To import a save, you’ll want to grab the latest version of Flash-TiTS and use the “convert file” option to prepare a save for importing.
- Files with items in inventory (or storage) that have not yet been ported into javascript will not be able to imported until we get those items reflected in the java version – so don’t worry too much if you can’t import yet.
- Not all ship interiors are finished yet, so more advanced ships are likely to have placeholder interiors.
- There are going to be whole new bugs and crashes. Please be patient, and we will squash the hell out of them as we can. A new bug report forum will launch with the new version.
