There’s some new Valkyrie combat training and soulbind-exclusive powers coming courtesy of Aly that didn’t quite make it for this patch, but for now, enjoy the changed reactions from your new sisters — or if that’s not your thing, go give Ahmri a date-night creampie.
0.5.31 Patch Notes:
- Ladies (and those who don’t mind becoming one) can now bind their soul to Lumia after completing her quest and become a valkyrie. Remember that this comes with all the same caveats as the Kitsune soulbind: one binding per playthrough, some permanent TFs, reactions both good and bad from different NPCs. (By Gardeford)
- You can take Ahmri out on a fishing trip, and if you’re married, enjoy some date-night sex scenes.

Soul-Binding locked only to ladies? This is not encouraging…. but I guess it makes thematic sense. Will there be a male-only souldbind later?
As far as I know, only one other soul-bind is coming and that is Nareva’s gothmander tf. It was originally slated to be a feminine hermaphrodite tf, but iirc it is in the process of being changed.
Interesting, I guess that means the catboy god isn’t interested in a soulbind? Can’t remember if there are other gods.
It’s been said a few times that Keros, Lumia, and Nareva are the only soulbinds. So far the only soulbind where you can choose to be male in every sense of the word is with Keros, but we’ll see with Nareva.

I’m not in the market for being a woman or turning my character into one either. This title has taken a siding with the woman/futa aspects for a bit it seems, but i cant really fault them they are at the mercy of what the audience wants and not at the mercy of what they want.
Unfortunately no. No male-only soul binds, because of-fucking-course there isn’t.
It’d be nice to be able to pledge service this is Corruption of Champions, even if we’re not soul bound being a deity’s champion seems in theme.
I doubt my rogue would do that but maybe for a paladin run. Love paladins.
Do you think looking in to Lumia breaking Etheryn’s cage as she said she could, could make it into a quest and open up more options for her.
That option will activate after Etheryn’s actual personal quest is coded, which has the PRIMARY way of removing her cage.
Me personally, I’ll hold off any soul binding for the foreseeable future.
It’s fun to mess in non saved runs, but generally I’ll not make any save with a binded PC.
So far, Keros binding is the most appealing simply because of how rich the Kitsune culture plus the significance it plays with the NPC’s there, added to the the family (Kinu+Kiyoko)
Curious though, besides mamma kas, can anyone tell me if there is any NPC who’d react negatively to the soul binding with Lumia
Sooo… what exactly are the requirements for becoming a Valkyrie? Because the option is locked and says I need to get to know the other valkyries first, but as far as I can tell, aI have already done all available talk options with Thrud and Annika and delivered the mail and I still can’t click it.

Annika visiting Freja was adorable, not sure which exact patch that was but I noticed it now.
Do you have to do something specific to get it to work? I dont think Annika met freja in my saves.
Maybe you need to have met all the valks, or be in a romantic relationship with Annika?
After that I just visited Aileh and the event went through. (It’s very cute so I hope you get it working)

Also currently looking for all the characters who would react PC becoming a Valk? Was surprised that Orcs and Elves dont show more reaction. Since they highly worship Lumia after all. Will there be more? At least I hope so.

I think using the Gold eggs harpies drop has a chance of giving you wings.
It doesn’t give you wings, Harpies don’t have back wings.
Succubus Milk and Incubus Cum can give you wings after enough RNG iirc

Lumia is the best soul bound so far, even if few content.. it still beats Keros. Will being soul binded to Lumia show in talks with Elthara and others?
Id imagine Lumia is gonna have more vocal support and dissent. She is the most popular patron for this part of the world after all.

At the moment just one spell focused aoe damage on enemies and shield on friends as well as some dialogue.
More is coming this is just backers early access basically.
What type of class suits to Valkyrie race?
Well the only ability so far is a strong support one like I said and I would expect that to continue. A lot of the other valks have support abilities.
So a white mage would probably be best, or a charmer.
What are the transformative items that allow you to have wings?
Manticore nip, gold eggs, what the wyld elf one is can give you wings, I think the bat transformative too.
One flaw; The Wyld Elf tf can’t give you a mark if you are an elf with one tho (I think even if you don’t have a mark it fails, at least from what I saw on the forums). Best case scenario is if you want FEATHERED wings you need to start with the dove wings wyld mark.

Keeping my soul unbound with my fingers crossed for what’ll hopefully be a wholesome Kasyrra route in the long run, but these soulbind options are neat nonetheless.

Is the Lumia soulbind fully compatible with lover Kassyra?
afaik no soulbinds will be compatible with lover Kassyra since you’re giving your soul away it’s seen as a big betrayal and flips her to enemy Kassyra.
It will lock out one ending at least, we’ve been told that much. But you’re not necessarily locked out of being lovers with her.
You do have to keep it a secret instead of telling her you’re soulbound though so you’re playing a risky game.
This is why I have several playthroughs. Most are unbound just for Kas but I do have two Valkyrie champs so far.
Soulbinds and Kas Romance are sort of mutually exclusive.
By the use of “sort of” here I’m assuming there will be a sort of “Good” Ending with Kas for Soulbinds? Like not the perfect romance you could have had if you saved your soul for her, but something can be salvaged with her from making the choice to bind to one of the Seven?
It switches her automatically to Enemy Kas if she finds out you sold your soul.
That I know, that’s assuming you you tell her and you only get one chance to make that mistake as far as I can tell. I’m more asking regarding if you keep up the ruse until the end. Before I assumed there wasn’t going to be a good anything, but the way Savin put it earlier sounds like while you can’t get the real good endings with Kas anymore, the “sort of” makes it sound like there might be a kind of consolation prize, depending on your decisions. Unless I’m reading too much into the wording, but then just poor wording on Savin’s part as it makes it look like there should be an asterisk at the end of that sentence. xD
