0.2.30 Patch Notes:
- New dungeon: Kitsune Den. Be prepared for a challenging boss rush and several new bad ends! (Written by TheObserver)
- A major balance sweep was done on items; many of them have changed slightly. This is in part because…
- We’ve changed how Damage Reduction (Armor/Ward/Focus) works; they now use a system of diminishing returns. 100 Armor is now 50% DR and it goes dramatically down from there. This should help us be a little less miserly with quest/dungeon rewards.
The new dungeon is balanced for level 5, so be ready to use those shiny new ultimate powers! That said, we’re going to be adding checkpoints to dungeons so you don’t have to redo them all over again every time you submit to your glorious oppai overlords lose. Didn’t quite make it in for this patch (it’s midnight, sorry). That, and repeatable content for Miko/Mai, should be the focus of the next backer patch. Public patch next tho!

Some hints:
-The quest starts from Evergreen at level 4. The place is balanced for 5, though.
-Every boss has a unique ultimate-level gimmick that you’ll need to take into account and counter. Strategise well. This is Darkest Dungeon-level shit.
-Sensing to get an idea of how their powers work can yield valuable information.
-Bring many items to keep healthy in between encounters.
-You can swap out your powers in the journal when not in combat.
-And above all…you don’t have to fight if you don’t want to by bringing Kiyoko’s amulet with you.
Even having the armulet with me I still had to fight everyone.
That is correct. If you’d lost you would not have bad ended and completed the quest without gaining any of the extra rewards.
I.E. You don’t have to fight if you don’t want to.
Wondering when I’ll get to free Kiyoko and my 40 something kids….

just a heads up in battle it seems the 2 shrine maidens are kinda bugged the text says that as long as ones still up the other wont stay down but instead of the downed one getting back up its the one thats still active that gets restored to full health and resolve

Lol does anyone else feel bad for fucking another kitsune? Like it’s cheating?
Seems like the balance on Arc Cannon is off. It seems to just be a Storm damage version of Fireball just with a slightly more verbose description. Damage, what it targets, and what happens on a miss is otherwise identical just dealing Storm damage instead of Fire. However it takes one more turn to recharge making it less useful to use for the most part especially considering what it takes to obtain versus how you get Fireball. Not sure on the other spells but looking at them now.
There was supposed to be a player version, and a version Kazuo used with a longer recharge since he has 2 actions/round, causing his powers to refresh faster.
If players think he’s a bit weak, I guess we could make it identical to fireball in every way instead of creating a new version.
It’s not that I think he’s a bit weak, it’s that the spell we get from beating him, what’s supposed to be the player version I guess, seems to be just a direct copy of HIS version with that longer recharge. Either the person in charge of linking things up didn’t link our version with what is supposed to be the player version, or didn’t make a player version at all. That makes our version that we get as a reward worse than Fireball and as such not a great reward for the difficulty of the dungeon.

It’s being fixed. We’re either bumping up the damage or adjusting the recharge. Bugfix patch is coming out soon, please be patient.
I can’t seem to get through the dungeon… yet. However, I just want to snatch those male kitsune’s up and bring them home <3

How do you get into the dungeon? I found the tree but it just says it’s locked up tight. I am level 5 and no idea what to do from here.
