A quick update on my work – firstly, reviewing has been slow because there’s a number of things I’ve come across that are soooo close to being up to par that I’ve been trying to self-edit them. Additionally, I’ve had some content slide into my box via side-channels to look over as well, forcing me to delegate some of it to Adjatha and review the rest myself. A bit of good news, though: an excellently written “Faux Cow” path for the treatment sailed right through my review with flying colors. I’m honestly not convinced I could do it better.
So look forward to that, I guess.
Also, since the ship code has been going so slowly, I’ve started laying out plans for building a simpler system in the interim. It won’t contain the same ambition as the other system (which is NOT abandoned or anything). I just want to have things laid out so we can finally steal the Sidewinder and finish Zheng Shi’s main arc.
Now if you’ll excuse me, there are approximately 20 pages more of treated male zil for me to review~

Yup, we feel you on this Fen, but this can’t fly by without remark and some amount of discontent.
Jan- 5 patches took first 2 weeks off
Feb- 5 patches took last 2 weeks off
March- 7 patches little downtime only about a week hand over fist the most productive month
April- 3 patches not counting fixing blackjack. No noteworthy patches between April 8-April 30
May- 2 so far. 11 day patch drought leading into the current drought being a week.
These include public patches and disregard hotfix/quick bugfixes.
Why anyone would support this over CoC2 which has been killing it this year is beyond me. Especially after the announcement of stalling for a placeholder ship system so a grandiose and unnecessary one can be swapped in later.
We could go back to no patronage where we got patches once a month, if that, with even less content.
Why would that be the alternative?
Because Fen and company could drop this project to just do something every now and then even though they really enjoy working on it because the community or at least a very vocal section of it don’t understand that this kind of thing takes time and is a passion project rather than an occupation.
Omega you have a big case of dumb brain if you think something that netted almost 200k for startup and getting 30k a month on patreon is just “a passion project rather than an occupation.”
First, I want you to know that I enjoy the work the dev team does. I like that the team members themselves feel like part of the community instead of distant figures on high horses. People here are usually both nice and accessible.
That said, It’s not a good idea to threaten the community. Any other project that comes up depends in part on good will and the belief that the persons involved will deliver on promises made regarding the product. It depends on belief in the brand. Scoffing at criticism and threatening to take a ball away might feel great in the short term. It’s not a long term strategy.
… just remember the guy you’re responding to isn’t staff. Kinda feels like you’re talking to us in that 2nd paragraph :p
I apologize for the lack of clarity Savin. I don’t mean to address you or the staff, though I recognize the implication in my statement.
I am annoyed at the idea that any criticism should be met with retaliatory action on the part of the staff.

Finishing up the Zheng Shi arc sooner than later would be ideal, and if the Sidewinder comes with additional storage space, that’ll alleviate two major issues in one go. Good luck.

Out of curiosity, where does the Sidewinder sit in the hierarchy of planned ships? Is it an end game type of thing, or more mid tier upgrade? Or is it all still up in the air 😀
The Sidewinder appears about halfway through the planned game’s arc, so I’ll leave it to your best guess 😛

Nowhere, at the moment. The gravball is supposed to go on the holodeck that’s been planned since the beginning, but isn’t in the game yet. IIRC, it is tied to the ship expansion, but it could have changed.

So apparently having a high virility and high cum output can pretty much break the economy, being able to max out the breed well milker payout at 500,000 credits, with 1,000% fertility (not that hard with rut and fertite+) and a cum output of 10 litres (30 with porn and dildo on), I get 12,000 credits. Plus the payout from getting egged while having a supercharged pregnancy speed from mother husks plus other stats that increase how many eggs you can carry, that’s also a sizable sum.
So yeah, breedwell’s the top money maker outside of beating doctor lash. Could do with either balancing or placing a time restriction, once a month or something.

Olympia comes with the Sidewinder, so whenever that gets in. Teyaal and her daughter will probably appear on the Rec Dec at some point, but I want to finish Ardia’s recruitment first.
