Hello all, a new version of Fall of Eden is up! Content-wise, we have the start of Cassidy the smith, and some talks for Orchid. Mechanics-wise, I’ve implemented persistent buffs (will stay after combat, even between saves). For now, their use is limited, but more will come later.

- Typos and bugfixes galore
- Persistent status effects have been coded
- For now, you can get some stat boosts from Cveta’s performances
- You can also get an experience boost from the food in the LB inn
- The same experience boost is added at the end of the Halloween event (bit late for it, but oh well)
- Getting food from Momo also gives the exp buff
- Added a lot of pregnancy triggers (including stuff for mpreg). Holler if you find a scene which you feel should trigger an impregnation but doesn’t, report it
- Restricted the effects of Testos. If you are pregnant, that womb cannot be removed by the TF
- Added Cassidy the weapon shop owner to Rigard, written by The Observer.
- Added initial talks + talk menu to Orchid. A work in progress. Written by LukaDoc and sponsored by Patreon

Alder, are those things that corrupted Orchid and Kiai mentioned the same corrupted elf chimeras as Layla?

Cassidy’s story about his family reminds me a little too much of my kid with Helia back in CoC. Nice touch.
I was reading that right now and thought the same thing.
I was rather pleasantly surprised to see the Helspawn, Helia and Champion references, including the Kyros & Hylas legend. But I was quite disgusted when I saw the actions the Champion did to get in Helspawn’s pants.

I was a little sad to see no reference to Hakon or Kiri, but not too sad. But I guess that’s okay, after all, if Helspawn is a now a deceased grandmother, then that means that the events of CoC were at least 60-80 years prior to FoE. But still, I must admit that I do like our newest “sally-mander”, Cassidy.
It’s a deliberate jab at all those clamouring for Helspawn incest.
Eh, except in the romancing path of Helspawn she comes off as one with an Electra Complex. She’s attracted to her father – or father figure – and wants to pursue that relationship, but wasn’t sure how they would feel – be it disgusted or not. So instead pursued the spiderboy.
Which happens or not depending on the player’s actions.

So how much does Cassidy’s relationship go at the moment? I maxed it out at 30 and had that 2nd scene in the shop, but was wondering how much it goes past that.

There will be a bunch more stuff for Cassidy, including sex and sparring, and Cass is intended to form 1/2 the backbone of the game’s equipment crafting system.
Cass’s backstory has a lot of similarities to a certain story in a certain game I know…It IS just a coincidence, right…?

Hey whenever I try to load up Fall of Eden the screen just appears in black, I wait for up to maybe 20 minutes and nothing. I updated my flash and I am not quite sure what to do at this point, any advice?

I believe the writer of Momo gave up on her because they weren’t satisfied with what they had done with her so far.
However it has been quite a while since I read about that, maybe they regained motivation or somebody else picked her up.
But I’m pretty sure no sex scenes are yet available for our friendly cook.

It always confuses me, when NPCs refers to the PC as a her, but his portrait is that of a dude.

There are two. One is male, one is female.
While ethnicity and race are ambiguous (the hairstyle not so much) their gender is pretty much obvious.
You get always a female portrait as female, herm or genderneutral, even with maximum masculinity.
You get always the male portrait as a male, even with maximum femininity.

How do you access the halloween stuff with the debugger? I Have been unable to access it through debugger in the same manner the event worked during the actual halloween event, and I can’t seem to find an option for it anywhere else…?

Check if it’s the correct time of day. Pie is only served evenings. I tried booting up a new game on the current online version 0.4o and was able to get pie.
