any thoughts adding a char like ember?
I feel as though the balance on these mercenaries is a bit off. Perhaps its because I’m playing as a mage, but any time these guys show up I feel as though victory may as well be a coin flip.
This will improve when you have a full party and the combat is better ironed out. But they are intended to be a bit challenging; this is very clearly stated in my design notes for making them.
The difficulty curve starting out is absolutely brutal. Especially the harpies. If my luck is very very good I’ll defeat one harpy before the other two finish my group off. Usually, I can’t even take down one of the three. What gives?
I know right they overwhelm my group with lust in a matter of two rounds. If lucky three
I haven’t played in a bit, so perhaps this has changed, but I found the harpies to be quite easy personally. Perhaps your build doesn’t handle them well, or you’re getting poor healing RNG?
