So for those who missed yesterday’s update, Anno petplay is on the menu, but first let me drop an update about the javascript port: it’s fucking awesome. It really is. Seeing the pieces finally snapping together in very functional ways had me absolutely giddy during the team meeting today, even if I was massively undercaffeinated.
Today I was able to:
- Take a flight from Tavros to Mhenga (now that ships are added with setup for them having their own internal maps down the road. It’s still early days though, so not a 100% promise.)
- Engage in combat on Mhenga! I was running around punching Zil and stuff, no problem!
- Pop-out a “large” map view! We’re still working on the scaling and such, but gone are the days of only seeing a handful of rooms in any direction.
- Observe just how much snappier it plays. I’m not used to just how quick the UI responds compared to the flash version.
Now on to the PUBLIC PATCH!
0.8.151 Changelog:
- Image-embedded version updated! (Requires a stand-alone flash player to use and 600+MB of free storage space.)
- The “Anno Walking You” event now has a few new scenes added: one for New Texas, one for bumping into Syri, and one for running into Kaede.
- Fixed a bug where bad pets would wind up with a next button that doesn’t work.
- Fixed some broken parsers, a bold bleed, and some variants that didn’t have logic.
- Fixed the taursuit accidentally giving double taint.
- Tweaked some codexes, lore, and the appearance screen so that some things could be clarified and more consistent, so: ausar don’t have slitted eyes, gryvain knots are functional knots, and Fen has a big ol’ ween.
- New Busts: Updated Big T (Shou), Anno Huskar Casual, non-Huskar Anno (&nude & casual), Alexandra, the Dong Designer, and the Mindwash Visor.
Looking at that UI. I wonder if the javascript version will be more mobile friendly.
That is the hope!
Hey, nice to see all this progress made with the Java version so soon!
One could even use the new mapping code to do a fractured like in those on roguelike games for undiscovered planets…. or even make it stay fractured as if there was interference on the nav systems.
I know, too soon for suggestions but I like cooking up ideas way too much to not share 🙂

Hey, Savin, I realize that this is a TiTs post, not CoC, but I ran into an issue with the quest Father Where Art Thou, and figured I’d tell you that if you talk to Solveig after finding the bra before talking to Gretel, the mission apparently locks and you’re unable to complete it.
Please make a bug report on the coc2 forum.
My tablet doesn’t like the forum and CTD’s Everytime I go there.
My biggest concern was about performance so this is great news.

Glad to see new patch after so long. Gotta say that UI for the new port looks absolutely stunning!!! While I am sure its still gonna be awhile, would you comment how long it might be until it will be ready? Because I am just over the moon for its stylin new look!
No ETA, but we’re constantly working on it.
Are those inventory images also available on the Andriod patch?
Those are sample images as part of an ongoing project to make the javascript port of TiTS. The one all of us are currently using is flash-based and browsers all across a wide berth are no longer supported.

How do I access the bumping into syri scene?
Go to whichever planet she’s on (Mhenga or Uveto). Get Anno to walk you. Getting the scene is somewhat randomized, so if you don’t get it, just try again.
I hope I’ll be able to keep my savegame when the JS port is available.. too much time that went into it 😀
I can’t imagine they wouldn’t find some way to allow you to port over the save. They have the “save to file” system already, so all they’d need to do would be to add a button in somewhere that allowed it to read the old save file, and create a new save with all the relevant flags/etc. That said, I’ve never coded a day in my life so maybe I’m talking out my ass, but there’s no way they don’t realize it might be an issue.
They have already ran some tests regarding that. It seems to be working, the “load from file” that is.
I could have sworn that I heard them say that old saves wow that be compatible

My kneejerk reaction to witnessing that UI was i kinda disliked it, but the more i look at it, it actually looks better.
Looking slick as hell. Though I do hope we’ll see some content in the flash version too, just like the reverse petplay for Anno. A total content drought for TiTS would… well, it would suck.

New UI is looking great and always happy for more Anno content but will Syri’s petplay be made available again after she moves to Uveto? Feels a shame for her to lose content while her sis gets more.
No. She’s not meant to stay on Uveto much longer than her quest takes; I’m writing the part where she LEAVES Uveto now.

Is there going to be a content dumb once the port is finished? I’d like to assume the lack of content over the past several months is because it’s all being written for the new version. Given the games track record though I’m gonna guess that’s a no.

Making a UI that’s both pleasing to look at and intuitive is a nightmare, but I’m thrilled to say that this new design seems to have accomplished just that! Great job!
Do you think you could add some new hairstyles to the game once it’s fully transitioned to the new engine? As odd as it might seem, I wouldn’t mind having an intergalactic playboy CEO of a multi-billion (trillion?) credit company with a mullet for a haircut. I just think that might be kinda wild and freaky.
Is there any plans to add more SSTDs other that the current 3 cooties, sneezing tits, and furpies?
