As part of the last post I pointed out that I wanted to sledge some time into the layout of the sidebar. I didn’t yet really know where I wanted to go with things exactly, just the general feedback that I wanted to take on board and how best to try and glue all of the things together in a way that I think could work, whilst also keeping in mind the desire to improve the usability of the UI on touch devices.
I threw a week into cleaning up some partially implemented ideas that I’ve had sat around for a few months, things I did to prove out the capacity for the new version of TiTS to handle in a satisfactory way. First and foremost, autopathing for the map. I’ve added an option that allows you to click or tap on a room displayed in the map, and the game will step-by-step move you toward that target. I think it needs a little bit more work, like potentially a stop button squeezed in somewhere, and there might be a few things that end-run around when it’s supposed to stop you when events occur, but I think it’s like 98% there in it’s current state.
With the time I spent working on that, and messing with the sidebar in general, it gave me time to crystalize the things I wanted to achieve for the overhaul, things that I think are gonna be problems to watch out for, and exactly how I think we can make it better for touch input. Jacques then took a lot of that and cobbled together a few potential layouts, the best of which I’m gonna squeeze here now as a preview of the potential.
The overlay of controls on the map is another thing I’m thinking about implementing in addition to the Autopathing option (hence why it is an option!) that’ll allow us to get rid of the seperate movement control buttons, freeing up a little bit more space to squeeze stats back into the bar, but the design and sizing of everything is still very much an idea and not how things are going to play out. This moves most of the controls down to the bottom corner of the screen, which imo is perfect for one-handed tablet use. If we then make the sidebar side an option too, so you can left or right hand the UI, depending on preference. Add to this a couple of ideas to remove the need for the button tray to run across the entire bottom of the UI, at least as an input system – probably still keep it for layout purposes, but add an extra way to interact with those buttons that can be done without moving your hand from the “control corner”…. Groundwork has been done for a bunch of this, but it’s gonna be a while yet before it’s ready for public consumption.
Then I realised everybody else was in some state of sick/busy/on holiday, and we had nothing major in the hopper ready to release. I grabbed something off the top of the pile and set into it, but the deeper I got into implementing it the more I realised it needs a lot of reworking and polishing to bring it up to our standards. I was hoping to have at least some more backer content ready before a christmas patch, but I didn’t want to hold off on updating any longer. I might still get it out before Christmas, it depends how over the top I get on wanting to rewrite a bunch of room descriptions and combat attacks in the process.

For everyone asking about this: You need to have been to Dhaal and be a femboy/guy in order to trigger it. Make sure those are true before seeking it out.
how do I trigger the Feruze encounter to access the dungeon? I’m way past the dhaal party and I don’t think I ever got the encounter.

Since this update my crew button on my ship has disappeared. I am using the Sidewinder and I can only decorate where the Crew normally is. All other things are functional to my understanding.

To get the new bust to work I find that unpacking the file into a different folder helps. (At least it worked last download for me.) Doesn’t fix the crew button problem though.

Ah shoot. Looks like I won’t be able to see the Amber Christmas thing. The only save I could get imported from the previous version had her already Dumbfuck’d. Can’t get any others with her normal because of a deep code spelling error.

For some reason my crew (A – R ) isn’t showing up and it replaced with decorate. Also Jasvalla dominant suck is greyed out for me.

when I do the Slyveran slave uniform scene the game stops my ability to move so i have to reload. That needs fixing. Also, my crew button is gone.
Room descriptions for Short Stacks? Is that a place, or are there now room descriptions for short Steeles?
The Stacks is the part of Dhaal where a bunch of gabilani and raskvel have settled.
I’m just taking a wild guess here, but I guess you guys didn’t have anything like a meeting where you actually came to the conclusion that this new design is better than the current one visibility wise? I mean I’m no graphic designer myself but have you guys ever considered just allowing players to view the large map and portrait versions at the same time – if they so wish to?
Apart from that it feels like the map visibility as its large version would still be good enough if it were half its size, so long as its symbols/tiles shrank along with it.

I think at the end of KiroQuest you basically have barter with Po to buy Kiro back from her either with credits or Platinum 190. After that she then offers some other items for sale such as the Buttslutinator and Orgasmender for install on your ship.

I’ve just noticed and dont know where to post, but Reaha has disappeared from my crew list. Not sure when but i know that I have her and have cured her before.
I’ve noticed a bug while pregnant with Zephyr’s kids. There is no end time to the gestation period so my Steele was pregnant for a long time. Going to the nursery on Tavros seemed to fix it, but I thought I’d still let you know.
Finally! A Reaha bust! I love it!

The other patch notes say there is a small Feruze’s child scene after the new dungeon. Does that only happen if the child is past a certain age? I didn’t get it.
Took me a good long while to figure out how to beat the boss of the Utopian Skies dungeon (teasing the mobs was obvious enough, but the boss herself kept steamrolling me when she finally showed up, so it took some work), but I finally managed it.
And at a glance, it looks like there’s a bit of a writing/code snarl there. Now, I obviously chose to fight rather than compromise. The post battle dialogue seems to be missing the ‘find your cuz’ part of the scene, and the aftermath seems to have flagged a different scene entirely.
Rather than getting a notice or new addition to the Nursery (despite waiting some time), what I get is an email from Jill (and a battle-worn Feruze) that she managed to escape…with Steele implicitly having played no role in the rescue. This of course makes me suspect that the wrong scene got flagged in at least this permutation.
If you intend to have multiple UI modes, I would definitely want one that allows fitting bust, stats, and map into the sidebar.
I prefer to have bust showing, but I’ve often without noticing accidentally near-maxed-out my lust from fights while wandering around in an area with enemies I don’t want to lose to.
I think if you made the sidebar 10-20% wider, it would be _possible_ to put the Level/pools stats side-by-side with the attributes-stats, which I think would allow fitting both in?
I think some more space could be saved by slightly forking the in-combat/out-of-combat UI, e.g. hiding/collapsing certain status effects in combat. The command buttons that can’t be chosen in combat like masturbate and sleep could be hidden too.
The tricky part would be maintaining UX continuity between the two modes. Maybe a vertical alignment where the top of that section could get cut off in combat?
Aah, the UI image is just a preview? Hadn’t played in a while and was wondering what I was missing, with stats just not being shown unless going to the stats menu in the codex.

I’ve been scouring the interwebs for an answer, but I’m coming up empty-handed. I know Sophora’s got two ways to be removed from game – after her first encounter and by killing her. Between her and Jasvalla I actually prefer EvilBun though – her combat feels much more fair to me. With some frost defense I can actually beat her, whereas Jas kicks my teeth in almost every time.
Is there an actual quest for her in the game yet? I’ve scoured every inch of Zhéng Shi and not turned up a single lead on her “mystery.” She’s the most terrifying, abusive, hypersexed deathbunny… Can I keep her?? Pretty please??

I think I encountered a bug. I started a new game, and I blew of Zaalt when initially dealing with him. Then I did most of the main story before tackling Kara’s quest. After telling Shade I was there for her, she left Myrellion, and now it seems like Uveto isn’t ever going to be added to my coordinates. Is there a way to reset the Zaalt encounter?
