Where does the probe count come from? Ten might happen but I dont think I’ve ever promised that.
More interesting than the probe count is the crew count, it seems to be like something/infinity.
Not that I mind the whole crew cramping up together, but the game is not set to accept more than one crew member sleeping with the captain at the same time, at least not yet.
The crew count is infinity because the actual limits have not been set yet. That will be when ship mechanics become a thing.
No, I did not mean the limit within the ship, I meant the ones eligible to become crew members. It seems lots of NPCs that have some sort of relationship with the captain could potentially be eligible.
The camping up comment was a joke tying it with the inability to have more than one lover sleeping with the captain at the same time.
Hate that I dumped Windows from my laptop for Linux. What’s worse is that my USB that I had made to install Windows from is basically a dud so I cant reinstall Windows. Guess I’ll have to set my desktop back up and play on it.
But there are flash players for Linux.
If there are I haven’t found one yet that works.

I’ll try downloading google chrome first. I just switched to from Windows 10 to Linux Mint so I’m still learning and getting use to a completely different Operating System “animal”.

You get an armor if you kill it. Sparing it allows you to get a TF.

It would be better if there was some kind of, coupons, and when you trade it with dunno X NPC you get to change something that was changed or added, this one would let people that killed him get to pick between the armor or the TF, or be able to fight him again to get the armor or let him live
I never got a amour from slaying it. All it said was something about me skinning it to use its hide for something. I also spared it in one play through and did not get a TF (Dont even know what a TF is). Would appreciate it if anyone could explain this to me and tell me how to get the armor.
TF is short for transformation, and both the armor and TF have not been implemented yet, so you get nothing from killing it.

Hey just so you know cant select the Ice Cold perk during character creation. It acts like you never picked a perk when you do.
Both the Armor and the TF item are content that is yet to be implemented.
So for now, killing it means that you get the “Frostwyrm Scales” key item that you will eventually be able to turn into armor.
If you spare it, it will stay available as a random encounter, and IIRC, Couch had plans for a quest where PC will need to catch him and get a sample that will be turned into the TF item.

Yo Fen a thought has come to me and it is a wonder there isn’t at least one scene with it given all the females and males who have horns or antlers (not antennae as pulling on those could cause pain). Fuck handles they have the headgear so why aren’t we using them aid in fucking or skull fucking. I say if you got a girl or a guy down and they have ’em on their head why not put them to use.
Is there still a way to get access to sub Sera without explicitly sabotaging her? I never got around to actually checking that stuff out and I remember reading some way to do it in the comments ages back, but it doesn’t seem to work.
If you haven’t helped her do well at the party, either by not becoming her sub or doing poorly during it, if you sell her several thousand credits worth of items her sub content will be triggered.
I should’ve mentioned that selling her a bunch of junk to force her into debt feels like explicit sabotage to me, but if that’s the only way to do it I guess there’s no way around it. Oh well.
But is it sabotage? I mean if she wanted to, she could just turn down your offer of stuff to sell. She just gambled on being able to resell whatever you sell her before anyone noticed her bank-account was dry and lost. It’s a risk she knew she was taking when she agreed to buy your stuff.
I’ve never really thought about it like that. The way I see it, Steele doesn’t know that Sera is so close to being thust into debt and really just wants to unload some items to her. It’s not like you’re forcing her to buy the items, as the guy above me pointed out.
The thing is, the slavers explicitly say shit like “And she is currently paid up. Maybe if she’d bought a bunch of stuff over the counter recently, maxed her credit out, we’d start getting more serious with her.”
I had them say that because otherwise the method to enslaving her is pretty opaque.
And the fact you have to explicitly sabotage her is deliberate. I wanted the PC to own that decision.

I think it’s designed to be unwinnable when using the strategy of “Try and kill her”, yeah. Only way I’ve found to do it is Maxed out Smuggler-class with Dev Mode turned on…
Is not really unwinnable, if you want to go for the kill you can do it, I did it at lv 8 as a merc with 40 pts. across my stats (spend most of my time at the gym), and as for the equipment: melee electric short sword (didn’t use it), ranged LMG (the one you get in the quest), Elite JoyCo shield, Black Void Modified armour (you also get it during the quest) and a aim assisting eyepiece. As for strats, you just carpet grenade the pirates until you are left with Amara, then just headbutt her once and shoot her, rinse and repeat for Amara and she should be dead. If things go south just use second wind or have in stock micro vials for heals, you can also boost your defense with the item from mirellion the crystal shards.
Haven’t tried in the latest version yet, but I was able to take down Amara as lvl 8 mercenary, Terminator-style.
In my latest build, I’m using a ranged merc-build, but I think I’ve also won against her as melee-merc before.
It did take a few retries to keep Kara barely alive during all the fights. (Not that it resulted in anything special)
I think the trick lies in the fact that with the best shield (Reaper Mk I) and armor (Goo, 8 Armor), you can win the battle of attrition, since mercs take even less damage thanks to their traits.
If specialized with ranged weaponry, the Juggernaut even drops that nice machinegun. Just don’t try and kill her with energy weapons. (Wiki says 94.5% resistance to those)

There’s probably a better place to put this (like that TiTS forum, if the Captchas would work as intended), but here’s a compilation of issues I noticed with the Level 9 and 10 builds, mostly regarding balance and descriptions of abilities being inaccurate/unclear, and not actual game breaking issues.
-Alpha Strike (Smuggler, Level 9) only affects melee weapons. If this is intentional, the description does not make this clear.
-Can Opener (Smuggler, Level 10) inflicts Stagger (5 Turns) instead of Sunder.
-Mag Binders (Smuggler, Level 10) costs 0 Energy and Stun lasts for 2-4 turns instead of 1-3 (counting the enemy’s immediate reaction), can be exploited infinitely.
-Charge Weapon (Tech Specialist, Level 3, Formerly Volley) scales damage off Intelligence (in addition to Weapon + Physique as normal), but doesn’t explicitly say so anywhere.
-Deflector Regeneration (Tech Specialist, Level 4, New) does not restore Energy when used.
-Gravidic Disruptor + Boosted Charges (Tech Specialist, Level 5+10) inflicts Gravitational Anomaly for 4 Turns (including the current Turn) instead of 3.
-Thermal Disruptor + Boosted Charges (Tech Specialist, Level 5+10) inflicts Burning for only 1 Turn, expiring before your next Turn without doing anything.
-Charge Shield (Tech Specialist, Level 7, Formerly Weapon Hack) does not proc anywhere near 100% of the time, the description does not make this clear.
This information was derived from testing on Tarkus random encounters in the latest Public build (0.7.59). I did not test to make sure the new Passive abilities work as intended, nor did I check how Fuck Sense now interacts with Tech Specialist abilities. Hopefully this ends up being at least somewhat useful regardless.
