If I had to pick a *new* genre for whatever comes after TiTS, I’m pretty strongly inclined towards either Mage/Dungeonpunk (like Eberron, or Fen’s Tarvos setting) or a really juicy, dark low fantasy setting with a pulp horror flair (something like Darkest Dungeon / Torchbearer or Lamentations of the Flame Princess).
I’ve always felt that it’s a bit ridiculous that I could be inflated with a load of drider eggs until my belly lifts my feet off the ground, but a bit of BDSM is “too much” no matter how lightly the subject is brushed against.
