Before I get into the bits you guys actually want to hear about, listen to the sad tale of Fenoxo and his 5 Mb/s download speed (and 0.5 Mb/s upload speed!) I’ve wasted hours on this shit today, and it seems the signal quality from my ISP is just garbage. The poor Mediacom tech who had to listen to me bitch clearly knew less about this stuff than I did, and I won’t have a tech out to look at my ‘net until Thursday at the earliest.
If it’s anything like last time, things will mysteriously start working better just before they arrive again. That or they’ll get here and not be able to do anything. But that’s fine, the free market is working! I have tons of other options for ISPs, like getting a wireless hub from verizon with constrictive data limits and extra exemptions from Net Neutrality! Oh, and added expense. Or I could get some slow-ass DSL. Personally, I prefer DSLs on bimbos.
As you might expect, progress on Paige today has been… scarce. I’ve got to wrap up a few odds and ends for payroll, then I’m going to give in and call AT&T for some DSL, I think. Maybe it’ll suck less.

They also throttle, so when I watch netflix or try to stream youtube videos, they throttle it to about 100kb/s.

1 megabit = 1000 kilobits (which should be obvious, given the mega/kilo prefix) so imps is right here, that would be the (stupidly slow) speed of 0.25 mb/s. What bet did you lose to get net service that bad?
I can’t speak for everyone, but my speed is almost devastatingly slow at 200kbs (occasionally less or slightly more, depending on how my router feels), and it stays that way because I live out in the middle of the woods with no other real options.
But, hey, at least I can entertain myself with as many firearms as I want without any neighbors hassling me about the noise. I can do that to pass time while my YouTube loads. Hooray for me.
I think I currently get a theoretical 50mb/s. I say theoretical, because while we are paying for that speed, it is only achievable in brief spikes whenever the planets align correctly.
Unfortunately, once the renos are done on the new place, I’m moving to a more rural location and the options are limited:
– 10% current speeds for 100% the current price
– 5% current speeds for 75% the current price
– 50% current speeds for 120% the current price (+ data limits before throttling, + potential unreliability&downtime in poor weather)
Current ISP’s plans to expand better service out there? Despite Bell’s various promises they made to the provincial govt when they bought the local company; none.

To be fair, DSL is shitty service. All of AT&T DSL speeds, up and down, are rated at UP TO the advertised speeds. So most of the time you won’t get them.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’d be happy as a pig in s*** if I could even hit 1 MB/s let alone 5.
Fen’s talking about Mb, not MB. Megabits are eighths of Megabytes, so your speed is probably pretty similar.
I’m lucky on a clear day to get 350 to 500 Kb/s on the download but let the clouds roll in and I’m not much faster than dial up speeds. Also I meant to say Mb/s in my first comment but just went to long on the shift key.

Yeah I can sympathize. My router has been acting up and causing me to randomly lose internet for minutes on end as I reset it over and over again in the vain hope that the connection stabilizes.
Not really sure on speed, (I haven’t done a speed check) but I don’t think Virizon has data caps. At least, I think; We haven’t gotten any notices or extra charges, and I practically live on the internet.
Verizon does have a soft data cap, but they’re pretty lax about enforcing it unless you repeatedly go over it. I think it’s if you use over 200 GB on average.
Uh, what deal do YOU have? My hot spot router gets 8GB a month and it’s 15$ for each gig over that.

I have had the same problem with the two ISPs I switch between. I pay for at least 50MBs dl speed/month but only get like 15kb dl & 8kb up… its a stupid ass game they play.

From my run arounds, the new android and flash updates have shafted eachother especially running flash on chrome, at least on android smartphones. It still works fine on puffin browser. While Dolphin has yet to build a fix for Jetpack to work with the most recent flash update.
To really make it work the best advice I found on a forum was to root your device and delete the flash file that has the build data and reinstall the new update to make it loophole the wall.
Not much help, but any is better than none, yeah? Hope you get it to work out for you.

Oh hey, I have Mediacom too! They’re pretty much the worst of the worst as far as cable net goes, but my only other option is DSL. I’ve been on Mediacom for about…. 12 years now and the past 11 have been nothing but constant interruptions, hour+ outages 3 times a week and awful speeds. After moving to our new home last year, I decided to cave and pay for the “xtream” package and after swapping out their absolutely dismal hardware with my own modem+router I’ve been able to keep sustained 110Mb with borderline no connection issues, though latency could certainly be better. I’d loan you my net if I could!

I had this USB internet card from either cricket or verizon, it was pretty dope; consistent speeds and it never let me down. Could look into it maybe?

I live fairly far out from town – Far enough to not get cable or anything, so I have to get my internet through Satellite… 5 Mbit/s with a 24GB data cap – With 10 of which sectioned off so they can only be used at night/early morning. I still get Verizon here though, and I get full bars.

That is still better than what i had for a month with bright house i had pings to google.com measured in seconds (1000 MS and up) and only half of them made it at the time i didn’t know pings went that high without just failing had to get a tier 3 tech on the line to do it to. they ended up replacing a local router.

I happen to have mediacom too. I was playing FF14 when all of a sudden everything started lagging horribly, and those idiots could do nothing to fix it. Then I decided to go on their forums since it seemed that the admins there actually had more authority that the actual techs in my town. So I privately gave them my ip, and other specs, they checked the area, and found a problem on their end. They didn’t bother to refresh the modem after the last payment I made, so it was causing latency -_-
I haven’t had any problems since then. I know its a hassle, but it could definitely work for you if you harass them on their forums.

Hey, so I don’t think anyone else has had this problem yet because it hasn’t been mentioned. Whenever I try to play this from the browser using the play section of this site it keeps opening version 7.66 instead. Is there a fix for that or at least someway to actually get the proper version to run?

5 Mb/s is the standard rate here in my country and I think its somewhat fast… there are countries out there who still roll on copper wires (aka Australia) so anyone who gets over 2 Mb/s is considered lucky.
Where do i find Krym on Uveto?
In the north east area of the Glacial Rift, you’ll see another quick travel point where she is. She also only shows up at certain times, so if there’s no one there hand around for a bit.
So maybe I just haven’t kept very good track of the updates, but there are now two planets or stations on my list that need to have their locations discovered, and I cannot for the life of me find a probe or any mention of another area to go to in-game. I’ve finished Myrellion, I’ve wandered the ice wastes of Uveto, and I beat the Wyrm twice thinking maybe it had eaten a probe, but I am lost…. Any help?
There are no new story planets and the two you are missing are likely Poe A (the Halloween planet) and the Gastigoth station, which was added in the newest public update, and can be accessed a few days after sending someone to prison (like the Tarkus pirates).

Be level 10, prefered to be a Mercenary
Never use melee, because that would damage her and cause her to gain 99 shields if she has no shield left (She can use it multiple times, I believe), an extra gun turret, the abiliy to fly and shit,
Have decent aim,
Have a Bimboleum Emitter (or lust-based ranged weapon) and equip it,
Have skills: Rapid fire and second shot,
Spam Rapid fire, even though rapid fire while using the Bimboleum Emitter would deal one or more damage for some odd reason. (No energy? Use Second wind then use more Rapid fire! No Second Wind?, just shoot!)

Loco fever is strictly limited to Raskvel. So far, I’ve gotten furpies from Sydians, but there are probably more ways to get it. Sneezing tits is pretty much random, but I got it after I fought a Nyrean.

I haven’t checked VI yet (I start a new game every public build), so at the moment, I think you can only get the loco fever entry by getting the disease.
