This time, we’re going with a similar format to the Halloween contest, but a little broader. Entries should be either dreams or a scene for an existing character doing something holiday-themed with you. Rules below:
- Grand Prize: $100, Judge’s Choice Entries: $75. Neither of the above but used in game? $50. Payout must be done via paypal.
- Entries should be written as a dream the player can experience while sleeping or as an interaction with an existing character.
- Entries should still be titillating in addition to holiday-themed.
- Entries should consist of no fewer than 500 words and no more than 7777 words.
- No more than two entries per author.
- All entries are to be posted in this forum thread.
- Please submit your entry before the clock strikes midnight on the night of Saturday the 15th (of December, ofc).
Why maximum 7777 words? isn’t that a bit weird?
Who knows?
Seriously though, who knows?!
It’s lucky.
Does it matter which character we use to do something holiday themed with Steele? Like could it be characters you can’t necessarily recruit such as Lund, Frostwyrm, Kane, Dr. Badger, etc. etc.? Just wondering if there’s a restriction in that regards.
No
Ok thank you for answering my question.
Am I allowed to ask for feedback on my submission before I turn it in? Like, opening a thread on the “Event Submissions” forum? Or is that discouraged?
I’m asking because I’m assuredly not breaking any rules or doing any no-nos that I’m aware of but…it’s not quite your usual content and I’m feeling insecure about it.
That’s fine.
Thanks for the reply.
I will open a thread after I get some more polishing done.
Will there be another backer build before the public holiday build?
now that there is naleen herms, will there be naleen babies?
Hi Fenoxo, would you still except entries for the xmass competition is the word limit is say 560 words?
Thank you for making such a good game… Wish there was an option to decide wether the world you and the other talented writer’s made could be males only (gay version). Have a nice day Mr. Fenoxo.
The limit is 500-7777 words, so 560 words is in range
Thanks Moronolicious, your advice means a lot.
Hi Fen I would like to enquire if the writing should be unisex ie. Man or woman? Or can it be exclusively gay, bi or hetero? Thanks, have a nice day
From my experience with Fen’s contests, having specific conditions is ok if they’re not TOO specific, like, let’s say, having an event that can only trigger if you know Penny but haven’t bimbofied her, AND you must have a penis that is at least 14 inches long but not bigger than 35, something like that. Though as a general rule, the more universal it is, the better
Thank The Great Albert, appreciate your advice.☺
I’ve got a few questions about the contest, as I’ve never participated in such a thing before.
Would you prefer us to use the game-code parsers for most physical descriptive elements in accordance to the documentation guide here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OI_BuyWxkAHno4yA7sGj1gCmLU62s9z6O1Gh40cfPt4/edit
Or simply write it as a normal work of smutty fiction, and perhaps consider switching to parsers if you would consider implementing it into the game after the contest is over? (which I would understand is unlikely, as I wrote this on a whim today, and it just ‘happened’ to wind up being nearly 4000 words (which is a lot to me).)
Second, you say we should write an interaction with an existing character. Out of consideration for the creator’s of some existing characters, should I first seek direct permission from the original writer of the character I chose if I wish to write one of their characters, (e.g. Nonesuch’s Sera) or is it okay for me to just post it once it’s done and worry about the original character creator’s approval of my work after the contest is over?
Asking permission doesn’t hurt but is not required. Parsers are cool and definitely help when it comes to considering which entries I’ll code, but not entirely required.
Thanks for the quick response. I’ve asked the character’s creator and hopefully will get a positive response before the contest is over.
I’ll consider switching a bunch of stuff over to parsed form, if only just to serve me as a learning experience for writing future scenes that are more “universal” in nature, assuming I can manage to do it right.
Thanks again.
