Before I get too deep into it, I’d like to remind you all that CoC2 also had a public patch a few days ago.
Now what’s new in this patch? 0.7.273 Changelog, here we go:
- [0.7.274 Fix] Roo now stands at 16 while the robot dealer stands at 17.
- [0.7.274 Fix] Fixed a crash on Roo’s “Table Fuck” scene.
- [0.7.274 Fix] Fixed an issue with blackjack that would prevent the dealer from hitting to their assigned value if doing so would cause them to win early.
- New NPC in Zheng Shi’s Recreation Deck: Roo the blackjack dealer. This cute bunny-cat will reward your victories by progressively stripping down and eventually climaxing messily. This no easy feat on its own, but if you can do it repeatedly, she’ll even start offering you sex afterwards. Lady Luck be with you! (Thanks to William for writing her. Here’s hoping I didn’t mangle the coding too bad!)
- New image pack images added: Roo table fuck and Roo under table lick.
- You can no longer bet mid-game in blackjack, and the dealer stands at 17.

Hey. I have the keycard to access the Scaffolds, but it just won’t give me the option, I defeated all the big bosses so far and freed the slaves, is there anything else i need to do?
To get on the scaffolds, you have to climb up a ladder from the foundry, then circle around to the elevator and unblock that entrance.

Go north from the square you beat the Rival’s new muscle. That one has befuddled me a few times.
I know most casinos are a little rigged, but this one is exceedingly rigged.
But it’s not. It generates a full deck of cards and shuffles it three times in between every hand (which isn’t quite normal, but it saves me having to save persistent deck state).
the main issue is that Roo only busts if you have 19 or higher she has NEVER busted if I have 18 or bellow and she always tie or get ultra lucky 2’s or aces as facedowns to win if i hold on 17 or 18 it’s just not realistic at all because she always have the perfect facedown to not bust if you have 18 or lower and the fact that house wins on ties instead of it being a tie means that the chance of actually getting a positive win streak are just not gonna happen, to top it all off Roo gets blackjack with a RIDICULOUS regularity, I have gotten natural blackjack 3 times in that time Roo had it 12.
Exactly this. I can understand letting the house win on a tie, but the rest of it is a bit much. Having her consistently have pocket aces, 2’s, and 3’s to constantly pull 20’s and 21’s is stretching things well beyond belief. It doesn’t seem like it’s intentional from what Fen said, but it’s one of those “this seems to be bugged in the games favor” situations then.
I’ve had Roo bust for me at 16, and as low as 13. I’ve gotten blackjack 3 times as well, but she’s only gotten it 4-5 times. I’ve played quite a bit, and while it can be hard at times, I’ve also had some good natural streaks. Seems fine to me.
I kinda agree with this. In game design since we aren’t in an actual casino you want to favor your players not favor the program. The reason for this is since it’s a game people will just get frustrated and quit (I know I personally have for taking a look at this scene) because of the odds being overwhelming stacked in the programs favor. I have seen multiple accounts that the program ties with me and forces a hit at 18-20 since a tie = a loss any who and when this happens a majority of the times it draws a face card. There is also an overwhelming amount of times that the programs gets a 21 right out of the gate compared to the player or when the program needs a low value card it draws this card to hit 21 or at the very least force a tie situation.
As I have stated favoring the program and making a video game casino act like a real casino is only going to make your players resent this content and quit or become indifferent due to the rewards not being worth the hassle. Now I’m not saying don’t make it a challenge but as it stands right now it’s balanced too far in the favor of the programs which in turn become a not worth my time playing piece of content. Due to this despite how well the scenes may or may be written cause people to not want to do the content it is locked behind which again causes a waste of time and resources on your behalf.
One quick fix is to force ties to be draws where neither side wins since this will cause the program to choose if it should try for a hit to beat the tie, or keep the draw and will allow your player to not feel cheated and put the game in their control rather then the programs control and hoping RNGs don’t screw them as it is now. Player’s won’t get mad when they know it’s their fault for loosing but they will end up getting mad if they have no control and it feels like the game (As it is now) controls their ability to win or loose. Again since this is not a real casino but a casino environment in a game people will be willing to suspend their disbelief.
Roo draws two cards from the deck the same as you. There is no hidden logic to cheat or swap her cards in any way.
There are 52 cards. They get shuffled around 3 times, then you take two, and she takes two. Those cards aren’t fudged in any way.

Dealer doesn’t cheat.
For what it’s worth, dealers don’t need to cheat at Blackjack. The game itself is designed to favor the house, such as simply by having players go first.
Almost all of all my high rolls get either matched or beaten by the dealer and everytime I decide to hit with a low starting number it hits me with low values up to 12-15 and then slaps a 10 in my face. Not to mention that the dealer has blackjack every 4th round. I’ve literally lost half a million overall. Either its rigged, I’m to stupid for a pretty straight forward game of probability or I’m extremly unlucky.

Smells rigged to me as well, similar crap like that happening to me. She just endlessly pulls out the card needed to hit 21 every other game. Then again, it’s blackjack on a pirate base… Can’t say I didn’t expect it to be rigged.
Fen while I do agree that the code isn’t cheating I am somewhat required to say that I do believe the blackjack is buggy. My reason being that for some reason when Roo gets 17 to 19 her card count will sometimes drop by 6 then the reveal happens and takes her to 20.
I got the question of, will we ever be able to put ourself in Cherry’s wallslut place, and if it would possibly lead to a bad end trap. Kinda like how you can get a bad end from Beth’s from having the wrong requirements before trying to work there.
I want to write PC wall slutting it up in the future, but that’s going to be well in the future. My idea for it would be you getting a contract to make money doing it, so it’d be another form of prostitution with one-off unique encounters spicing up some generic fucking. You wouldn’t bad end, and you could only sink into some massive amounts of depravity.
But you get paid for it. Everyone wins.

Don’t know if this is intentional or not, but for the time being you can leave the table, save, and maintain your streak. I don’t know if this is a bug or not, but I’ll probably report it unless told otherwise, despite using it just a little to my advantage.
The “streak” is maintained on a day to day basis. You’re welcome to take breaks (or save scum) if you like.
Im a soulsbourne to the core and work arounds never felt right to me. Not till today that is.

While the game definitely feels more rigged than last update, I can’t find the actual blackjack code in the repo because I’m an idiot and even if I did I probably wouldn’t be able to parse it so I guess I’ll take your word that it’s not rigged. however, in the opening dialogue roo says the max bet is 2500 when it’s really 5000, and also she doesn’t stay at 17 a lot of the time. sometimes I’ve won hands that I shouldn’t have because she hits on 17 when I’m at like 15.
Also, why does the house win on a tie? that’s pretty non-standard as far as blackjack rules go to my knowledge.

Yeahhhhh….. I call BS on this Blackjack setup – it’s the opposite of fun, as-is.
Definitely needs some tweaking to make it “not a horrific pain in the ass”.
Not bitching about the content, just the current %’s, “Lose on a tie” – and the fact that you need to account for computer RNG not actually being random – IE the fact that it gives the opponent -precisely- the card they need far too often for actual randomness. (I had 7 of 10 games won by Roo blackjack at one point)
I think the blackjack is bug, because if your card(number) are 1-18 the dealer always tie with you.
I think there might be a bug that make the Black Jack reset back to the betting stage after clicking “Hit” without a prompt as to why.

Has anyone been able to get the “Her Job” talk option with Roo? I have beaten her probably 4 or 5 times, which was not cheap and brutal to win but very fun. It looks to me like I have exhausted all of the possibilities for her other talk options.

Holy smokes, the casino does a good job of showing you why gambling is for idiots. I wish it didn’t show you how much you’ve lost. I just went on a 200k losing streak, and then when I walked away from the table the game tells you “you’re on a hot streak, why would you leave?” I felt real anger, hahaha.
I’m having trouble getting onto the Sidewinder. I’m at the spot where I met my cousin, but there’s no option for me to go inside. I’ve already defeated Teyaal and got her keycard.
You just have to walk north there, there’s no marker on the map, or button option to enter: just walk through the (hidden) door.

It doesn’t even play like blackjack. The player should hit until satisfied or bust then the dealer would reveal their cards and take a hit or stay. For some reason the dealer draws when you draw and then reveals their card to add, even if they already had 17 with the facedown.
Hopefully someone fixes it, but it’s abysmal right now.

NPC preg requires a lot of extra writing, you can’t just go and get ’em, sorry. Nayna and Kelly don’t have preg; the former because it’s not written at all despite her pussy being available (and she’s not able to impregnate the PC because her contraceptive situation is unknown) while Kelly is on birth control and there’s also no writing there to support this.
Not to say it can’t happen though…
