Freebie build ETA: Early January
0.6.23 Changelog:
- The next step in Emmy’s quest is now functional. To get it going, do something sexy with her, then wait 72 hours for an email. Depending on what you bring her (and your aim and physique stats), she’ll give you a different weapon as a reward.
- Emmy also has three new sexy-times scenes unlocked once you progress her quest.
- You can now enter cheats in the custom input menu for V-Ko. This is pretty placeholder for now, and notifications about typing them in correctly won’t show till after you back out of V-Ko’s menu, but it’ll work for Android/iOS players.
- Jacques00 added a neat event for selling the probe on Mhen’ga.
- Jacques00 deployed a literal raft of bug-fixes.
- A new Shou bust was added.
Things will slow a bit over the holidays due to necessary time with family, but I have no plans for any actual vacation. There’s just one small step left to Emmy’s quest to do after this that’ll cost the PC a fair few credits (and unlock a few more sexy scenes I have to write). Oh, and I still need to write text for bringing her a gem satchel and code another variation Zeikfried wrote.
I’ll probably look at spending what time I have free over the holidays on chipping into the backlog. Emmy can have a break now that I’ve put some more effort into her. Did you know she’s over 40 pages long now?

Hmm. Are we meant to start off a new character being really pretty and fit now, if we pick human? As it seems like I’m getting a high femininity and physical fitness score if I choose a human starter, and it’s kinda odd.

Are you picking effeminate options elsewhere in character creation? If you aren’t and you can reproduce a human male getting high femininity regardless, chuck it into a bug report on the forums.

In the intro, the next planet rush will be “scant nineteen years” in the future, so Victor Steele decides to make an heir. Time-skip forward to the start of the actual game, and the planet rush is said to have started a few months ago.
So if Cpt. Steele is 21 at the beginning of the game, it seems the pregnancy lasted about -2 years.

not entirely sure what the official name for size difference hentai is, but she’s a 21 year old halfling and the others a slutty goblin. i think the artist InCase calls it short stack hentai. either way I know the goblin one is right up fens ally
Those’re both shortstacks, not loli. Loli describes a body type that has the appearance of a young, usually prepubescent girl. Basically, flat-chested, no hips to speak of and lacking pubic hair. A child in other words. Fen is trying to avoid anything resembling pedophilia.

That would be kinda neat. I play an online game that lets you do that if you have the right item.
Short guide to Emmy’s rewards:
For each gem, you either get a ranged weapon if your Aim is as high or higher than your Physique*, or a melee weapon otherwise (except for Picardine, see below).
Give her Kirkite, get tuned up Salamander Pistol (a small accuracy bonus) or Lava Blade (a small shield bonus).
Give her Satyrite, get tuned up Salamander Rifle (a small crit bonus) or Jolt Hammer (also a small crit bonus).
If you give her Picardine, your Physique has to be higher than your Aim for you to receive the melee weapon, which is a shittier version of the normal Vamp Blade (nerfed damage). If your Aim matches or exceeds your Physique, you get a Salamander Rifle even better than the one from Satyrite (with a small crit bonus AND better damage).
*Actually, it checks the percentage of your Aim from your current maximum Aim against the percentage of your Physique from your current maximum Physique. Since the cap is the same (barring a few temporary effects), it doesn’t really matter, but I suspect it means getting drunk etc. will not change which item you receive.
Also, while the Picardine Salamander Rifle is probably the best weapon in terms of raw stats, most ranged characters would probably prefer using the Secure MP and getting the improved Lava Blade, since that’s the best melee weapon for a ranged character. If someone figures out how to temporarily or permanently lower your Aim, please let me know.
PS. If you’re a melee character, your options basically suck. The best version of the Salamander Rifle is probably also your best option, if only for a back-up weapon, so max your Aim by swimming in the NT gym beforehands to get it.

The upgraded Vamp Blade does do less upfront damage but should be MUCH better at draining shields.
My bad, I forgot that draining has two versions. That’s still rather underwhelming.
It’s pretty great, actually. You get back 90% of the damage you deal to shields with it, so against shielded foes, you’re basically not going to go down.
Until their shields drop, at which point the special does nothing. That’s assuming the enemy even has shields to begin with, of course. Most of them don’t.
Of course, given that the weapons are gated behind smooching it up with a specific NPC, one should not expect Infinity+1 swords.
But that is under the assumption that the character is purely melee and melee only. I would assume those who pick up the vamp blade would be more akin to being a hybrid fighter–where after quickly disabling the shields, the character would use ranged or special attacks to help aid in overpowering the opponent. Then again, if they want to stick to pure melee, they can take a turn to swap weapons, knowing that they can’t depend on a shield-only weapon if there are no shields to take down (meaning they should carry alternate weapons).
Not all weapons should be an all-in-one deal, and those that aren’t are better used strategically.
Splitting perks between the two fighting styles isn’t very effective, and if changing weapons in mid-combat is a good option, that’s because your other options suck big time (or you have that smuggler perk).
Also the normal Vamp Blade is better for actually defeating shielded (and unshielded) enemies.

When you give it to the Nyrean gaurds they go wide eyed and talk about how beautiful it is, implying that (to them at least) its more beautiful and exotic than any other myrellion gem.
You’re not making a romantic gesture to the Praetorians, you’re bribing them. There’s a difference.
The nyreans dont know the value of platinum, they like it becuase of its beauty and the fact its exotic. Their is no reason to assume emmy wouldnt feel the same way even if she would know how much its worth. Its like a diamond just becuase its beautiful and exotic and has many industrial uses does not mean it can’t be given as a romatic gift.

Do you need to sell the probe (Jacques00 added a neat event for selling the probe on Mhen’ga.) to get the scene or could you have sold it before and then the scene happens when you go back to her?
The probe and Emmy scenes are independent of one another–so you can do either in any order you wish and it should be fine.

Cheats? First time I’ve heard of them. Is there a list somewhere?
“furfag” toggles infinite items. “motherlode” gives you maximum exp for your current level. There are a few others, but they’re primarily meant for developer testing and could cause major weirdness if you don’t know what you’re doing, so the devs have asked people not to share them. (Well, the exp cheat isn’t that widely known, but it shouldn’t cause any trouble.)
furfag is the only one I’ve released for official use.
The only cheats I really want, outside of furfag and motherlode, are for when I don’t need/want to fight. Included are balances to keep shit fair.
1, Guaranteed escape if either…
a. I don’t need the XP
b. I’m not interested in fighting the enemy
2. Instant lose if I want to see a loss scene (literally reloads to before the battle, don’t wanna lose progress if a Bad End triggers or get preggers if I don’t want to)
3. Instant win for if I wanna see a win scene. (no XP gain, items are iffy, XP seekers should use “motherlode” if they want to cut down on grinding)
That said, thanks, FA, for finally giving me an out concerning endless grinding.
1) I’d like to see massively improved escape chances if you outlevel the enemy significantly. I’d also like to point out that you can turn on easy mode for easy escapes.
2) Not possible with the way scenes are coded currently.
3) Same as #2.
