I wrote about 2,000 words of Azra stuff this morning for her first expedition and set up. It’s going to involve fighting a naleen pair in a group fight with her, then fighting a nine cunt-tailed zil while she harvests some flowers. I got about 1/2 of the combat texts for the naleen pair done. I also got some coding done on her, putting her and her talk scenes into the game.
0.7.62 Changelog:
- A preview of Azra is in game. She’s very limited and only really good for talking at the moment. Let me know what you think about how I have her rigged up!
- Chrissy has busts from Shou & Adjatha now! Perks of having a submitted character added to the game right around your birthday. Congrats, HugsAlright!
(Chrissy’s Shou bust pictured at right!)
Oh this is pleasant surprise. Thanks for the hard work Fenoxo, and Happy Birthday HugAlright if you see this.
Anyone else notice her bulge?
If you saw Adjatha’s bust of Chrissy… :ironicat:
She is half kui-tan. The bulge is assumed.
Happy birthday HugsAlright thanks for all the great work you did and hopefully you’ll continue. 😉
And Azra is pretty awesome Fenoxo, hoping to see more of her pretty soon.
Happy Birthday HugsAlright.
Good content/character
My single gripe with the Azra content (as an agnostic leaning towards atheism) is the treatment of religion in-game. Very few characters that aren’t caricatures (plantation quest) take it seriously with the one notable exception being Walt. It’s just a bit absurd to me to think that in the far flung future, as silly as it is, religious concepts like The One have not adapted and there’s this still absurd science v religion debate going on. If its survived as an idea in the age of wide spread space travel, I doubt it’ll be a thoughtless mirror to what we’ve seen here on earth.
Maybe I’m just finding reasons to gripe though. There’s a bit more weight on how your content treats things as the all powerful creator Fen.
I think what gets me is that the inclusion is entirely extraneous. Azra is a good character and has plenty to say without what feels like a soap box moment.
TiTS premise isn’t compatible with classic religious beliefs. Gene mods that can switch yor sex gender and everything else in a matter of minutes? Gene-mods used to effectively create new species? That shit wouldn’t fly in a religious society. And as long as it invalidates somebodys believe it can’t be done because it’s “offensive”.
It’s easy to dismiss my issue if you can boil it down to “I’m offended”. That’s pretty much dead in any sort of internet discourse.
My issue is that it’s insanely disingenuous. Even the text prompt use of the word “Religion” equates the belief of a very specific monotheistic straw man created for the world of tits with the entirety of humanities many sprawling ideas (not all monotheistic or personal in nature) that fall under the title of ‘Religion’.
I’m not offended at all. The views expressed in the game are fairly close to my own. I’m annoyed. I do not consider this a feature of good story telling. The entire thing could have been omitted and the game would have been fine for it. It adds nothing.
But sure, pretend my issue is that I’m “offended”, rather than annoyed at an unecessary straw man that generalizes human religious philosophy in a sex game.
“TiTS premise isn’t compatible with classic religious beliefs.” That heavily depends on your definition of religion. It’s certainly incompatible with religions that worship the God of Abraham, but again, you’ve used the word religion to broad brush an insanely wide swathe of ideas. Even the use of the word is a technical inaccuracy. It’s like saying that everything that is ‘feline’ exists in the common house cat. You’ve circled a very small subset and used it to define something that’s much more expansive.
Most importantly to me, it breaks immersion in the game. Give me a nuanced thinker that has disregarded a specific brand of religion that has adapted to gene mods and space travel. Or just leave it out entirely. I don’t think TiTs would be a very different game without the short blurbs on the subject.
Then again, I’m responding to the request for feedback from Fen. That’s my 2 cents. My issue (characters used as authorial mouthpiece on an issue set up with a straw man) is moot if there’s a character in game written by fen that gives a nuanced view of the subject. I could be talking out of my ass, and could have this completely wrong.
Appreciate the feedback!
Some good points were made, but I disagree that just because the future arrives religion would cease to exist. Perhaps the bigger failing is not adding more alien faiths to expound upon, but earth-based monotheism is just easier to write for.
I mean, Galileo proved the Earth wasn’t the center of the universe. Religion survived. Quantum physics were discovered. Religion survived. We got devices in the palm of our hands that can grant us the sum of human knowledge in a second. Religion is still there.
It’s foolish to assume that it would cease to exist just because there’s more of creation to explore. I wrote the religion blurb because I felt it was part of her past the added a little depth to her character (and set up why she might use “God!” as an exclamation instead of the more commong “Stars!”). If it came off a bit preachy, that’s my bad.
Also, it’s essential to have some sort of excuse to have space-nuns. :3
Thanks for the even response. I expected a smiting.
Religion has survived because humans are great at adapting core identity beliefs to fit new information. Christianity survived because its ideas are not as simple as the five second youtube creationist take-downs would have viewers believe. There’s quite a robust history of its early thinkers tackling issues that we think we’re just bringing up today, that and contributing to what we know as scientific method. That doesn’t mean that all of the core tenets hold up, just that those who have chosen to follow it are great at adapting new findings to fit old ideas. I would expect future sentient creatures to be just as tenacious. Not to say that Azra would be religious, just that the religious idea she would be moving from would be a little more sophisticated than what we’ve got.
Then there’s the fact that Christianity != All Religion. Some religious ideas are completely at odds on the philosophical spectrum, so combining them under the single word shows a dismissive authorial attitude that may bleed through aspects of the game across characters. As a creative, I worry about characters becoming mouth pieces rather than believable entities, so I wanted to point this out.
Your explanation does make sense. No one is mad enough to say no to space nuns.
Again, thanks for not smiting me and all. That would have kind of sucked.
How long till public build
Pub builds usually come out the first week of the month.
When are you going to drop the public build
Any Ditz-speech-supported content is good content as far as I’m concerned. Even if it’s “only” dialogue and stuff! Loving Azra so far nonetheless and looking forward to going exploring with her!
I really thought that Azra was a good inclusion. I REALLY hope we get a bust of her soon 😉
So when are we gonna get the final stages of the Nova armor customization?
Also, is there a sure fire way to get the diseases yet?
Firstly, it was supposed to arrive after lvl 9 was implemented(according to the wiki at least), and since that hit not too long ago, I think be can expect it in at least a couple of updates.
Second, pretty sure there isn’t one(just yet).
…Pretty weird, isn’t it? People actually WANTING to catch diseases, even if it IS in a game.
You must not encounter a lot of SJW crap, do you? There are people out there who are deliberately trying to get AIDS. They’re called bug chasers. I don’t really know much more than that, since I have no particular desire to look into it, as It may cause me to lose faith in humanity completely. Just goes to show that there really ARE all kinds, including the fucking retarded kind. Sorry about the rant, I just got done watching something that made me wonder if we’ve dropped below some kind of sanity/common sense threshold.
I know about some of their kind of crap just from youtube-videos, but I don’t think I know about that particular kind of crap.
Pretty sick(but in the bad sense).
*cough* vampirism *cough*
You have a point there. I’m guilty of wanting to contract vampirism in TES games,
so I really should say that I was referring to STD’s(even though both are of course bad for you).
I loved Fisianna and Azra introductions! Fisianna is my absolute favorite.
are the rackvel and sydians going to get new pics this year?
I just drew a bust art of the Raskvel Fem in the Tarkus Wastes, and got offered to have it be in the actual game. So here’s hoping!
That would be quite welcome, I think.
So far I like Azra’s content, I can’t wait to see her image and be able to breed her! 😛
Is there going to be an update were riya can impregnate the PC
I wrote a comment earlier, but doesn’t seem to have registered?
See, now it works.
Anyway, I wanted to say something Fenoxo once thought to be a glitch iirc, but I don’t:
“Why do some enemy sex scenes require lust, and others don’t?
It doesn’t really make sense to me.
Why even have a lust mechanic if that’s how it is?
Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this for me, and for anybody else wondering.
Sincerely, this guy.”
Those prompts are entirely dependent on the other character. My best example is the naleen male, which has a prompt for a buttfuck. It’s the naleen who initiates it; yes you’re still having sex, but this is you providing pleasure instead of getting the pleasure. So your level of lust doesn’t matter. Hope that helps.
Which enemies don’t require lust? As far as I remember all of them require at least some lust.
When I said ´´don’t require lust´´ what I should’ve really said was ´´don’t require a minimum of 33-ish lust´´(which really should be a hard requirement, imo). I really should have added that to begin with.
The monsters that I’ve encountered that are like that are:
Bothrioc(3/3 that I can proc)
Korgonne Female(4/7 that I can proc)
Naleen Male(1/4 that I can proc)
Nyrea Alpha(3/3 that I can proc)
Nyrea Beta(3/3 that I can proc)
Raskvel Male(s)(2/2 that I can proc)
Zil Female(4/6 that I can proc)
Zil Male(4/7 that I can proc)
And these are just the ones that I’ve encountered thus far.
At best it should be a hard limit for all current fightable enemies, since there’s at least one npc that requires at least near-full lust to proc(Beatrice Reasner).
Am I just stupid for not knowing where Azra is and not being able to find her?
Never mind.
Can we maybe just maybe finish Uveto or Myr war quest before adding big new characters?
YES, FUCKING, PLEASE!
How about we get some worlds and stuff fleshed out instead of adding a bazillion companions and underwear options?
Frankly I’d rather there be a focus on the main mechanics first and then once all of the main content is flesh out and finished *then* we can start adding random bits and pieces that add nothing of real import and are likely just one-offs that are going to be forgotten by their author in a few month’s time and thus forever lack the content that people so desperately want these bits and pieces to have.
You make an excellent point, and I agree with you wholeheartedly!
Fenco can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure they’re essentially running the burners until ship content is implemented. It may be that they hesitate to add core game content without dependent ship functions.
Ship content *is* core content. It was a big draw of the game in the beginning, with an included offbeatr goal for a capital vessel type ship, so it’s always been one of the core features.
Yet I see more and more little bits and pieces added all the time while the core content seems to be on the way-way back burner which isn’t even turned on, or so it seems.
Frankly I want to see greater strides taken in the core of the game and fewer strides taken in custom NPCs, transformatives, and other minutia until that point. A shift in priority from adding little bits of nothing first and foremost to adding core features and content first and foremost is what I’d really like to see and what I’d really get excited over. I mean we’ve been stuck not being able to handle the Myr situation for how long now? Over a year, if I recall correctly.
And yet we have panties that can change colors, hardlight toys, magical package-concealing strips of material, and a bunch more stuff. We’re adding tons of extra non-essential fluff content to a game which isn’t even finished yet, so much so that unless we keep adding tons of similar content the rest of the game once it does finally get completed is likely going to feel very bare bones in comparison because all of the stuff that adds character and life is going to be in the first-half of the game unless it’s moved later, yet that would be a massive effort to make sure that even just the dialogue fits with the new locale.
@critlocked – You seem to be under the impression all these new characters are written by the main team.
For future reference, this is false. A lot of TiTS is user submitted content, the very content you’re complaining about, and saying they should focus on something else instead. Well those writers have nothing to do with the game’s main content and story. And especially with a recent rise in fans writing their own content, there’s going to be a lot more per update than main story or gameplay elements.
Hopefully this clears that up, and prevents improper criticism in the future.
That ship content is core content is kind of my point. The other core (story) bits of the game can’t be finished without a structure to support them can they?
I think other team members are working on coding user submissions until it can be implemented. Frankly, I would love to hear something more conclusive from a member of fenco, so I’m glad you’ve brought it up.
At the same time, lighten up eh?
@This comment chain: You DO realize that a good majority of content that is included into the game is user submitted from VOLUNTEER writers, right? If we DIDN’T have all this new smaller content to keep us going while FenCo works on the bigger stuff, the game would stagnate to all hell from lack of content while it would take them perceptibly months to complete, even if they stopped newer content temporarily.
Taking this earlier point into consideration, none of the volunteer writers have any power or control in making any brand new *core* content for the game, so we’re pretty much stuck making side projects for content and planets that already exist, and building around it.
I understand the want for the game to move truly forward in content with newer planets and story progression and stuff, but you have to look at the other side of things as well. Of course the staff is working on core mechanics like ship content and general polishing of the existing planets too, but that shit takes a lot of time, and it ISN’T easy to develop new planets, or new ship mechanics. Ultimately that content falls to 3 people to develop as a whole; Fen, Savin, and Gedan. That’s a HUGE burden to share by only 3 people have to make big content like that. I’d say give them at least some leeway knowing this. The content will likely come out, maybe later than people are hoping, but demanding it isn’t helping in the slightest.
~By the way, I don’t speak for the staff when I say this, but from the perspective of a fan, and a writer, that’s just how I see it. The staff can correct me if I’m wrong about any points made.
@Lkynmbr24 You’re criticisms, while logically sound, aren’t entirely fair given the context of the situation. In recent months Fenoxo has put weeks of work into massive, well written characters, like Sylvie and now Azra, overly complicated TF’s like Laquine Ears, or large side-quests like the Plantation Quest.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all of the content he puts out, but I think that expanding the story is more important right now than the content Fen’s currently working on.
I also understand that the majority of the content added recently has been fan-made, and even then that takes staff time to implement, but I feel that when Fen gets time to work on his own stuff he should work on advancing the story or adding core mechanics, like Gedan is currently.
I’ve been here for nearly a year now, and there hasn’t been one expansion of the main story during that time. As working on TiTS is something Fen professes to take seriously, I just can’t reconcile that with their current content strategy.
Goddamnit, I messed up “Your”. In the first sentence too. FML.
Hey, Fen. You probably won’t see this given the plethora of other comments, but I was wondering if a ghost or ghostlike TF would be possible? I really enjoyed playing as one in CoC and would love to see the return of the spooks.
I’d say you’re more likely to see a mind-control psi ability than a ghost-possession one, given the setting.

Fling that over to the bug forums, pal.
Any chance for bimbo smugglers to get the same treatment as tech specialists for sneak attack and aimed shot?
You know, it’d be neat to be able to dose npcs like Del and Ember and Sera with Omega Oil to turn them into even more massive buttsluts.
I can get behind that idea. Also, who exactly do you mean by Ember? Surely not the dragon from CoC, but rather the Simii Embry?
Write it then.
Also there is no ‘Ember’ in this game.
Embry, yeah.
I second this. I already kinda got there in my headcanon with Sera, but it’d be dope to actually get her to a place where she can cum entirely from taking it in the ass.
