Hey there! This is Some Kind of Wizard.
Some of you may know me from the myriads of tabletop games I’m involved in, saying Moo a little too often, and probably being an alcoholic. I am also, and more importantly, a writer of fine smuttery. I’m the writer and director for Fenoxo’s first foray into the world of visual novels; Tainted Space: Fenrir.
Most of my writing work is done now, I just get to sit back and watch Jacques00’s wonderful sprites, and Hizzacked’s beautiful CGs roll in. It’s super exciting, and I can’t tell you how pleased I am with them both.
Since it’s long overdue, I’m going to open the floor to answering your questions about the game. And who knows? I may even properly answer most of them.
To save getting this question over and over again however I’ll answer it now: It’ll be released on Nutaku and Mangagamer. It’ll be released censored on Steam (With a free “unofficial” patch that will convert it to the uncensored version) (Fen note: presuming we can actually get Steam to let us put it up there). No we’ve got no confirmed release date.
I’m also deep in the smut-mines on some other projects. One of these projects is something I’m doing off of my own back for Patrons. I’ve decided to get in on the whole monthly-smutbucks game, and I require precious fur-gold in order to do things like pay rent, eat, and then if I’m lucky try my best to be not-sober.
As of this post, in each month I will be writing a 5,000 word sex scene (which is worth about $135) for everyone who provides even a single shiny dollar a month. But not only that! Anyone who supports at any tier is also able to vote on just what kind of scene it’ll be. I feel like it’s a good deal, but who knows? If any scenes I write fit the setting I’ll even go through the hell that is bolting parsers to everything so that it can go in TiTS a few months later as a freebie to Fenfen.

Do we have an estimated length/price/ending count on the darned thing? I assume we’re not going to be receiving 70+ hours of excellence, for 5$, with over 35 endings, but I remain optimistic.
Est. game length ~150k words. No price point as of yet. Multiple routes a bunch of endings.

The initial target wordcount was something like 50k words. I think it blew up past 60k without any sex scenes.
No idea how long it should be, but it ought to be worth the $5-$10 price tag we’re planning to put it at.

I have a question about the MC..
I may have overlooked it, but what gender are possible?

Shemale or male. The MC is a half Ausar.
So what kind of fetish content will be in the game? Is any of it skippable?
A number of the sex scenes are skippable, there’s nothing exceptionally fetishistic, although there’s a bit of biting from one of the crew.
Is the MC going to have a name? Cause it feels more like, yknow, /you/ when you can name ’em. Asking cause they’ve just been referred to as “MC” and I’ve seen some games actually either ignore your name altogether or just outright call you MC.
I use mc because they’re nameable in game 🙂
What genders will we be able to pick for the MC? Just male or Shemale?

Alright, that’s a smart way of reducing the work load for sex scenes, I’ll be looking forward to it!
That was originally why. I enjoy writing female sex scenes a whole bunch, but at the same time it’s the first title, the first character, and giving them too many variations not only increases my writing load, but literally doubles to cost of art with the main character in it.
The only added word count for A shemale MC would be gender pronouns and flavor text for the female bits it seems, which isn’t much compared to a whole new sex scene with a female mc.
Given the only available gender options I assume most of the sex scenes will involve dicks. Will your main characters gender have any impact at all to the game proper beyond art and pronouns-not necessarily plotwise, but minor stuff like in dialogue or feminine descriptions or stuff like that
Most sex scenes involve dicks yes. There are actually minor alterations to dialogues/how he/she reacts to something vocally. But I’ve worked hard to keep that kind of thing subtle.
Will the plot and endings of the novel all essentially revolve around the sex and such, or are there other factors and the sex is only part of it?
Pretty sure bad choices can result in some changes…
The game itself was written without the sex scenes entered, and placeholders put in for the sex scenes. This was to ensure it was a decent length title that was interesting even without the sweet sweet fucking goodness.
Won’t lie, fairly new to all of this but I would assume the game we’re talking about finishing and getting on steam is TiTS, if not try and twist my question to fit TiTS anyways but do feel free to correct me.
Let’s say down the road we get what can be caled the finished product of TiTS in whatever capacity you imagine it. After it has been “finished” do you see yourselves continuing to work on it as you have been? Adding hidden scenes, artwork, races, planets and events or do you think you be more likely to focus on the next big project for your team?
It is not TiTS, no. It’s a visual novel set in the same universe.

Will the character you play as be a virgin to start with (Dick or pussy wise) and will there be any virgin specific sex scenes with detail (not just “your virginity has been lost”) where either you take someone elses or they take yours?
Because if so, I’m all in.

I’m afraid that there’s no specific cherry-popping going on in this title. But I’ll keep it in mind for future catering 🙂
Will the VN be released as a finished product, or do you foresee continual updates and support like TiTS/CoC?
It’ll be a complete game, though it’s open to being part of a series of games.
After seeing the picture my only thought is: if Hizzy won’t at some point do some Kaede art, there is no Justice in this world.
